OUR METHOD OF TESTING IS URINE
Urine is the most common method of testing. In a urine drug test, the labs can detect any presence of recent drug use (whether illegal or prohibited drugs), by collecting the individual’s urine sample. Traces of drugs can be detected in your urine anywhere from a few days to a few weeks after usage. The urine method is the most convenient and offers panels that include a variety of detectable drugs and cut off levels.
What is the Urine Drug Testing Procedure?
STANDARD LAB BASED
The procedure for a urine drug test is simple. A donor provides a urine specimen in a cup to a drug testing collection specialist. The collector then seals the specimen cup and completes various documentation which includes a chain of custody form. The donor will initial the specimen cup seal, and specimen will be sent in a secure manner by Currier to the laboratory for testing. NEGATIVE results are usually reported within 24 hours after receipt of the specimen from the laboratory. NON-NEGATIVE results are generally reported in approximately 3 business days due to additional procedural requirements.
INSTANT OR RAPID
Urine drug testing can also be used for instant result testing; Rapid drug Testing is known for its quick results. Usually within 5 to 15 minutes results will show a negative or non-negative outcome. If results are NON-NEGATIVE , specimen will be sent off to a SAMHSA certified lab for verification by a licensed Medical Review Officer (MRO). Once Lab has received the specimen, results will be expected within 3-5 business days.
(Rapid tests are only available for non-federal screenings).
